Introduction
SubtleTea started because of a random night at a local Irish bar and a complete lack of a plan. Marc De’cario and Charlee Tea didn't meet to start a project; they were just two strangers who realized they were holding different halves of the same broken thing. Marc had a vault of instrumentals that felt like empty houses, and Charlee had a lifetime of lyrics that had nowhere to live. There was no vision board, just a massive hand-off of files and a realisation that Marc’s compositions provided the atmospheric skeleton for the specific brand of emotional chaos Charlee needed to vent.
This isn't about finding a solution or reaching a point of “Perfect”, It’s about the friction that happens when one person’s sound gives another person’s silence a place to scream. The music lives in the place where Marc’s expansive, wordless world meets Charlee’s fixation on the stuff people usually keep buried. The music of SubtleTea is an unfiltered, accidental exchange between a guy with a vault of sound and a woman who finally found a way to get the words out.
